East Fullerton Families,
On the morning of Sunday, March 7th, it was discovered that our T-ball and Rookie fields at Chapman Park were destroyed by a vandal that decided to drive their vehicle onto the park . Both fields were left in horrible condition and we were unsure if games could be played there in the upcoming week.
Immediately, a call for help was put out to the families of East Fullerton Little League and within 2 hours an army of 50 volunteers showed up at the fields. They were equipped with rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and trucks. Families donated water for the workers and helped keep spirits high. The kids were even working on the fields!
I am proud to see the families of our league turn a discouraging situation into a positive one. Everyone dropped their afternoon plans to repair the damage and to make our fields safe and playable for the children of our community. It was truely inspiring to see our league come together during this time of need. I feel this event has brought EFLL together and has strengthened our community.
On behalf of the EFLL Board of Directors, I want to say THANK YOU! You all make EFLL a great organization to be a part of.
Tony Bogart
President, East Fullerton Little League
